Environmental Science Research Assistant - $17.50 Per Hour

Description:

Technicians will experience all aspects of research and development including the following principles :

1. Garden preparation and maintenance.

2. Nursery and agricultural crop production and maintenance.

3. Turf crop preparation and maintenance.

4. Experimental design, setup and data collection.

5. Fertilizer, chemical controls, and soil amendments.

6. Greenhouse crop production and maintenance.

The hired workers will be working in the greenhouse and the field. Typical job duties would be to plant grass plants in the greenhouse, take and record data, clean grass seed, and help plant and maintain field trials. This specific opening is in support of the biotech department - working primarily with sod and turf.
