Overview:
Kimley-Horn is looking for an Environmental Science Intern to join our Dallas, TX office for the summer of 2022! This position will fulfill the environmental needs related to civil engineering.
Responsibilities:
The main goal of this position is to assist clients with environmental compliance by assessing project-specific impacts and presenting innovative solutions to permitting and other challenges.
Specific job activities include, but are not limited to: wetland delineation, mitigation and wetland permitting; endangered species surveys; environmental permitting; NEPA & environmental documentation, and urban forestry and tree inventories.
Qualifications:
In the process of obtaining a BS or MS by summer of 2023 in these majors: Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Natural Resources Management, Forestry, GIS, or related field
Must be able to travel on occasion, if necessary
Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather
This position frequently requires field work
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Outstanding organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities GIS Coursework or experience
