Overview:
Neomorph is a venture backed biotechnology company solving critical problems in human health through the discovery and development of innovative new medicines against ‘undruggable targets'. Our team is comprised of industry leading experts in protein degradation and molecular glues who have a track record of ground-breaking discoveries in the field. We are committed to leadership in advancing the science and technology of molecular glue drug discovery, while prosecuting a pipeline of projects through clinical development. Our patient-first, science-driven approach is complemented by our dedication to a supportive and collaborative work environment.
Neomorph is headquartered in San Diego, California, and has a key collaboration with the Center for Protein Degradation at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
Our Ideal Candidate:
You are an experienced biologist with a background in leading/advancing small molecule discovery projects through various stages of preclinical development. You are excited to bring your experience with target identification and validation platforms to contribute to the discovery and early development of first-in-class molecular-glue drugs. You thrive in a multi-disciplinary team environment and are looking for an opportunity to work alongside experts in the field of targeted protein degradation, where you are empowered to enable drug discovery programs and explore new aspects of this compelling science.
Responsibilities:
Establish routine molecular and cellular biology platforms for target identification and validation as well as MOA characterization
Design and develop novel biology assays to support the efforts of drug discovery team
Utilize molecular and genetic tools to define mechanisms of drug response and resistance
Plan, implement, and manage internal and external resources for the advancement of projects
Communicates science and strategy effectively in a variety of internal and external settings
Qualifications:
PhD in Biology or related scientific discipline with 5+ years, MS with 8+ years or BS with 11+ years of relevant experience.
Experience with drug discovery in the field of oncology or autoimmune/inflammatory diseases
Proficiencies in molecular subcloning techniques, shRNA-mediated gene knockdown and CRISPR/Cas9 mediated gene knockout are required. Hands-on experience with primary cell culture, flow cytometry techniques and HTRF assays are preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Recognized scientific innovation and accomplishment evidenced by strong record of publications in peer-reviewed journals
Desire and capacity to participate in a dynamic and fast-paced research setting
Desire and capacity to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications:
