RW Collins Co. is seeking a highly qualified environmental remediation professional for the position of Estimator/Project Manager. In this role, you would focus on winning and managing projects involving large-scale environmental remediation, MGP site remediation, UST decommissioning, hazardous material removal and hauling, and various other remediation work. The estimator/PM will develop and strengthen relationships with current clients while working to grow the RW Collins brand.
This position is based in Chicagoland and would require candidates to relocate if they do not reside in the area.

RW Collins Co. is seeking a highly qualified environmental remediation professional for the position of Estimator/Project Manager. In this role, you would focus on winning and managing projects involving large-scale environmental remediation, MGP site remediation, UST decommissioning, hazardous material removal and hauling, and various other remediation work. The estimator/PM will develop and strengthen relationships with current clients while working to grow the RW Collins brand.
This position is based in Chicagoland and would require candidates to relocate if they do not reside in the area.
Sales & Estimating Responsibilities
- Establish, develop, and maintain key business relationships with current and prospective clients in the assigned territory/market segment
- Develop and generate new business for the company's environmental remediation services
- Continuously search and explore bid opportunities and projects in the regional market while developing new revenue streams for the company
- Determine all pricing structures and negotiate contract pricing on a per-project basis
- Develop and grow a pipeline of prospective projects and clients
- Work with our team of estimators on bid reviews, strategic planning, and business development
- Utilize Salesforce to track bids and project information and communicate with teams
- Attend bid walks, project-specific meetings, and client events
Project Management Responsibilities
- Develop specialized project execution plans while meeting or beating clients' timelines
- Function as primary liaison between the company and clients throughout the project; regularly visit sites and ongoing projects; attend progress meetings with clients
- Negotiate all contract pricing, change orders, and review all pay requests
- Work with sales team to establish and coordinate subcontractors and vendors for each project
- Work with Safety and Operations managers to develop site-specific Health & Safety plans for major projects
- Work closely with project superintendent or foreman to execute a specialized project plan
- Develop weekly/monthly Gantt chart schedules for major projects
- Field client concerns and requests to expedite resolutions
- Prepare equipment lists for bidding/awarded projects
- Provide forecasting to upper management for operations scheduling and revenue goals
- Complete all project closeout documentation
- Manage multiple projects in various stages daily
Knowledge & Skills
- Ability to problem solve and develop solutions for clients
- Goal-oriented
- Extensive experience in sales and estimating
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Extensive knowledge of pre-construction and remediation services
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Projects, Salesforce, or other CRM
- Ability to visit sites on a regular basis throughout the Chicagoland area
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience as Environmental Remediation Project Manager
- Experience bidding and managing complex remediation projects including brownfields, MGP sites, hazardous waste removal, hauling, and disposal
- CHMM (preferred)
- OSHA 40 Hour and Annual 8 Hour Refresher Course
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Marketing or Environmental Science
