Biologist-Bio Lab

Summary of Position:
Erbi Biosystems is looking for an experienced biologist to help expand the cell culture capabilities of Erbi technologies. Responsibilities include cell culture, tubing assembly and sterilization, protocol development, management of inventory, equipment, facilities, and lab safety. Experience with biological assay methods such as flow cytometry, metabolite measurements, and cell counting is preferred. Individuals are expected to work with both applications and R&D teams to run experiments, collect and organize data, and give project reports. Individuals with extensive cell culture experience, great technical writing skills, and a hands-on approach to lab organization will excel in this position.
Role and Responsibilities
Key areas of responsibilities include:
• Cell culture
• Store and maintain frozen cell stock
• Start and maintain seed train in shake flasks
• Prepare and run Erbi bioreactor cell culture experiments
• Cell staining and flow cytometry
• Transfection and transduction experience preferred
• Applications and Product support
• Participate in applications problem resolution
• Execute experiments to generate product support data
• Participate in generating support documentation
• Data management
• Participate in experiment designs
• Organize experiment data
• Analyze data and design experiments for system validation and optimization
• Communication
• Participate in product improvement
• Train team members
• Proficient in office tools to organize data and present information to team
• Experience with Data analysis tools: R, matlab, octave, python preferred
• Other
• Participate in inventory management and ordering of consumables
• Maintain culture and analysis equipment
• Aid team members in other unrelated projects
• General Biolab maintenance, cleaning, and protocol development
• Requires in-office presence, though some hybrid work is possible
• Schedule is flexible, but will include infrequent off-hours or weekend work when required

- Cell culture experience

- CHO, HEK293 (adherent and suspension), T-cell culture experience
