Environmental Health Specialist
Adams County Health Department has an opening for an Environmental Health Specialist. Duties include butnot limited to; the application ofenvironmental public health and safety principles and practices within aregulatory environment, providing professional oversight for various programs involvingsurveillanceenforcement of mandated health and sanitaryregulations, public education in areas andfacilities such asFoodSafety, Drinking Water, Wastewater Management, Land Use andDevelopment, School Health and Safety,Solid Waste, Site Hazard Assessment, Chemical and Physical Hazard, Living Environment, Public HealthEmergency Planning and Response and Epidemiology.
Position requires a Bachelor of Science degree orclosely related field. Must be able to obtain aWashington State Registration as a Sanitarian within one year ofhire and have a valid drivers license. Bilingual Spanish encouraged to apply. The County Pay Scale EE4$58,882.01 - $61,826.11 yearly DOE. County Benefits include medical, dental, paid sick leave, paidvacation,paid holidays andretirement.509-488-2031.
