This position is responsible for analyzing and critiquing results, noting deviations and suggesting relevant experiments to supervisor.

Responsibilities :
  • Generating reliable and consistent results.
  • Independently conducts important experiments.
  • Implements new protocols, with some guidance.
  • Performs routine tasks competently and may work on problems of moderate to complex scope with supervision.
  • Masters new experimental techniques.
  • Takes direction/coaching on new assignments.
  • Works in cross functional teams.
  • Maintains accurate and Comprehensible experimental notebook.
  • May draft report contributions and give presentations on own work to colleagues.
  • Produces data sufficient to be included in patent or peer-reviewed publication.
Requirements

Amazing Entry Level Research & Development Career Opportunity!!!!!
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Genetics or related field with a minimum of 2 years relevant wet lab experience
  • or
  • Masters of Science degree in a related field with a minimum of 1 year relevant wet lab experience
  • This is an entry level position for a candidate with a Master of Science in R & D .
  • Proficient skills in molecular biology techniques, e.g. DNA/RNA extractions and quantification, PCR, qPCR, MLPA, Sanger sequencing
  • Knowledge of next-generation sequencing methodologies and working knowledge of NGS data handling and analysis tools; familiarity with basic statistics
  • Experience using literature/search engines/databases to pursue science .
  • Some research experience in academia or industry is a big plus
  • Relevant Wet Lab experience, preferred
  • Undergrad work-study job or a research course is a big plus
  • Proficient with web tools and databases for assay design, data analysis, literature searches
  • Strong documentation, organization and critical thinking skill s
  • Ability to work under minimal to moderate supervision in a dynamic, collaborative environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
