Research Associate I, Neuroscience, Cell Biology & Anatomy

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Performs varying standardized laboratory assignments and experiments.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in biology or related area; no experience required.

SPECIFIC JOB RELATED DUTIES:
  • Conducts routine experiments under direct supervision.
  • Maintain records of all tests performed and data collected.
  • Assists with the preparation of laboratory reports using scientific data from experiments.
  • Prepares a variety of chemicals, solutions, and reagents based on defined laboratory procedures.
  • Maintain lab for rat, mouse experiments.
  • Cleans equipment and work areas.
  • Ensure environmental safety compliance and other compliance as and when needed.
  • Maintain lab inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Have computer proficiency to develop databases and maintain records.
  • Providing training as and when needed for rotating students and other visiting scientists.

SALARY RANGE:

Commensurate with experience

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences preferred with bench experience in animal handling, good organizational skills and good Lab practices
