Organic Preparation Technician (Entry-level) - Eurofins Environment Testing New England - North King

Job Description

Eurofins New England Environmental Testing specializes in providing quality analytical data and exceptional customer service for a wide variety of environmental interests. We offer a full range of test methods for sediments, soils, sludge, solid waste, hazardous waste, drinking water, groundwater, industrial wastewater, plant and animal tissue, and air. Our labs are equipped with state-of-the-art technology to automate analysis deliverables, ensure data accuracy, and make results readily available to clients.

The Organic Preparation Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Extraction of soil samples by sonication, microwave, and Soxhlet.
• Extraction of waters by separatory funnel.
• Concentration of extracts using Turbo Vap.
• Acid/copper clean up for Pest/PCB extracts.
• Entering information into TALs, scanning batch sheets.
• General cleanup of work area, washing and putting away dishes
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures
• Adhere to all Health and Safety Guidelines
• Adhere to Employee Handbook
  
  

Position is full time, Monday- Friday, 8am-5pm with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, chemistry, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
  
  

Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
