Title:Medical DirectorCompany/Location: Biolumina / New York, NYDepartment/Discipline: Medial & Scientific AffairsDescriptionThe Medical Director is a central team member at Biolumina, responsible for giving timely, accurate, and insightful answers to the teams scientific and clinical questions. The Medical Director will prepare scientific and strategic analyses of data, research and disseminate brand/category backgrounders, attend and prepare reports for major medical meetings, conduct interviews with healthcare professionals (HCPs), and assist the onboarding process for new team members. They will also attend key scientific/strategic meetings with clients; present information; and workshop collaboratively with the full team. Resourcefulness in finding data, or figuring out what information would be needed to answer the question is essential; ability to explain complex scientific topics simply, and to translate concepts into visuals is an advantage. The Medical Director will be evaluated on ability to uncover brand-relevant scientific and clinical insights and share these clearly with colleagues in order to ultimately be a part of the larger, collaborative team that creates positive change for HCPs and patients.ResponsibilitiesOrganize and implement a system to store and easily access all preclinical and clinical scientific information across assigned brands, as well as competitive dataPrepare scientific and strategic analyses of data; proactively assess emerging competitive and scientific message trends and communicate in a timely fashionWork closely with account and creative teams Directors to analyze and interpret scientific data so that clients achieve maximum marketing advantageCreate and deliver content for scientific education on assigned brandsLiaise with client marketing, medical and regulatory departments and develop relationships with client physicians and key opinion leadersAttend and coordinate the preparation of reports for major medical meetings as neededAttend client meetings and provide the scientific and clinical perspectiveAssist the agency team in annual strategic and tactical planningConduct focus groups, and telephone interviews with opinion leaders and other physiciansPerforms other duties as neededQualificationsPhD, MD, PharmD, or other advanced degree in sciences: oncology, molecular biology, pathology, or immunology focus preferred0-3 years experience Strong writing and presentation skills: ability to tell a story with the scienceDemonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate with a diverse range of colleagues and clientsAbility to work independently under appropriate guidanceInnate curiosity: enjoys continuous learning and new opportunitiesPositive sense of humor and resiliencyPowerPoint and Excel proficiencyBioluminas ValuesOpen MindAlways ask whyof your teammates, your clients, and yourself.
