The Corporate Laboratory Team within Micron Technology utilizes a wide range of state-of-the-art analytical metrologies to support R&D and production activities world-wide. Additionally, the laboratory is involved with development activities to maintain the metrology capability available to the Micron community at the highest possible level. This project of this internship will involve the development of methodologies and protocols to allow the measurement of the properties of single particles using inductively couple plasma mass spectrometry.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

* Research, bring together, and analyze literature information related to the project.

* Plan a sound scientific approach related to a technical project with partnership with supervisor and execute the plan within guidelines defined by management.

* Perform analytical measurements to support the technical project.

* Analysis and interpret analytical results and draw scientifically-supported conclusions in collaboration with management and laboratory colleagues.

* Regularly review data and direction with supervisor.

* Interact positively with colleagues within and outside the laboratory actively maintaining a strong sense of collaboration and partnership.

* Present the results of the research performed during the internship in a clear and concise manner both orally and in written reports and/or technical papers.

Qualifications:

* Knowledge of and experience with physical science topics (e.g., chemistry, physics, material science) through coursework or documented experience.

* Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team

* Be results-oriented and take ownership for assigned projects.

* Excellent computer application skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and other data presentation software.

Education Requirements:

* Working towards completion of Bachelor's (Junior or Senior) or Master's degree in any of the following engineering degrees: Computer science/Engineering, Software Eng, Data analytics, Master's in Information Systems
