Sales Development Representative Manager (SDR Manager)

About This Role And The Work

The SDR Manager is responsible for driving the results of an SDR team, focusing specifically on our newest additions to the organization. The SDR Manager executes company and department strategies and upholds standards to ensure that sales goals are met or exceeded.

This role requires a self-starting, proactive, results-oriented sales management professional. As a SDR Manager, exceptional communication, interpersonal, and client service skills are a must, as well as comprehensive knowledge of company policies and offerings. This role has the potential to be performed remotely, so the ability to work from home is ideal.

As SDR Manager, You Will
  • Hire, lead, motivate, and direct the activities of assigned team members with intent to achieve objectives, project schedules, and team goals
  • Address LGS questions and concerns, troubleshooting challenging calls or issues, diffusing & handling client questions
  • Lead weekly meetings and consult with team members to better understand call results, developing and maintaining processes, practices, and expectations
  • Assist other management team members in identifying trends and establishing goals
  • Ensuring staff members are achieving desired service levels and taking corrective action, as needed
  • Prepare reports and analyze data to improve processes, ensure resources are properly allocated, and maximize efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Present ideas and to communicate in writing, via emails and reports, or orally, explanations and data to support actions taken
  • Take on additional tasks or projects in the support of employees, fellow managers, and outbound operations
  • Execute corrective actions, performance improvement plans, provide constructive feedback, and determine the urgency of caller termination if necessary
  • Call, email, and engage with outbound leads on social networks daily
  • Build email, social, and physical mail campaigns to engage with prospects and ultimately book meetings with Account Executives
  • Proactively engage with and reconnect with former prospects
  • Qualify and understand a prospect's needs
  • Convert leads into qualified prospects


About You

Candidates with the following qualifications and experience are encouraged to apply:
  • 2-5 years of management experience, preferably in an outbound environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal, client service, problem-solving, verbal and written communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Knowledge of management principles and familiarity with company products, services, and policies
  • 3+ years of experience selling SaaS products to small and medium-sized business (prior domain experience with workflow, accounting, or project management software and/or outbound sales experience is a plus)
  • Comfortable working independently in a very fast-paced and tech-savvy environment
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, and the results to show for it
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and balance team and individual workloads through effective time management, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Ability to listen to a customer's challenges and ask questions to better-understand their needs
  • A friendly but assertive demeanor
  • Experience building out a team
  • Physically located and authorized to work in the United States (SF Bay Area; San Diego, CA; Reno, NV preferred) and comfortable working with a remote team
  • High level of proficiency in the English language, both written and spoken
  • Experience using Salesforce, Outreach, and Handwritten
