EHS/Occupational Safety Specialist (2104081)- Wyandotte, MI

BASF is seeking a high-energy, EH&S Specialist like you to drive and promote our EH&S program management by ensuring that regulations and workplace safety standards comply in accordance to corporate and regulatory requirements for our manufacturing sites and communities.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Formula for Success

    Leveraging your educational and/or professional background you will provide technical and regulatory expertise to site location(s), support the Management of Change (MoC) process, conduct incident or accident investigations, lead responsible management of corporate, local, state and federal programs and initiatives to improve workplace operations and control hazards

      Demonstrating your commitment to BASF corporate initiatives, you will assist with the implementation of BASF's Responsible Care® Management Systems (RCMS) including, but not limited to, Control of Hazardous Energy - Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Hot Work, Fall Protection, Powered Industrial Trucks, and Hazard Communication.

        As a role model, you will reinforce a culture of behavior-based safety and support emergency response activities.

          Successfully engaging across the organization, you will proactively identify, appraise, and prioritize opportunities, develop sustainable solutions, execute operational plans, and effectively manage business relationships designed to champion continuous improvement and overall safety performance.

            Your analytical and problem-solving abilities will be essential as you navigate complex audit, compliance, and regulatory processes while managing competing priorities.

              Demonstrating your exceptional safety orientation will be vital as you collaborate and interface with business partners and functional teams where the ability to gain cooperation is critical.

                Your professional certification(s) in safety and environmental practices will be an asset as you communicate and facilitate the sharing of programs, procedures, and tools that promote process safety excellence and a safe working environment.
