Position: Youth Academy Location Coaching Director

Reports to: Youth Academy Director

Main Functions

The Youth Academy Coaching Director position is a vital piece of the overall club structure and one that makes an impact to our membership on and off the field. This position will strive to develop, promote and administer the game of soccer using the key values of the club (Character, Commitment, Community, Competition and Communication). The Coaching Director will work diligently with the CISC Leadership and specifically the Director of Coaching for the Youth Academy Program (ages 8-11), to provide the optimal experience for all members within their programs.

Job Duties
  • In coordination with the Youth Academy Director, select and oversee all location coaching staff. This includes, but is not limited to, employment agreement, performance review, education and development, expectation setting and as otherwise directed
  • Work closely with the location member services Director in providing an exceptional experience for our members and staff
  • Handling all Youth Academy program management, working closely with the Member Services Director
  • Assist Marketing Department with social media and branding as it relates to program
  • Oversee player development - Club curriculum and periodization process
  • Act as primary contact for club communications and programming in specified location
  • Manage administration process for players and program
  • Oversee all player evaluations. Communicate expectations with the coaching staff and assign player evaluations to the Youth Academy coaches
  • Support and communicate, when needed, with parent and player questions and concerns
  • In coordination with Youth Academy Director of Coaching, organize and oversee player placement process. Create consistent process of evaluating players throughout different programs (National, local competitive, YA).
  • Establish a consistent club culture between all YA Programs and locations
  • Provide Functional Training
  • Conduct age appropriate Mental Conditioning Programs
  • Manage Player Development Centers
  • Manage positive relationship with Field & Facilities and scheduling staff
  • Participate in the clubs Coaching Education and Development Program
  • Other duties, as required

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in soccer coaching
  • Minimum US Soccer C License or foreign equivalent
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including listening, coaching & training
  • Strong leadership, project management & time management skills
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and work within a team of employees at all levels
  • Excellent written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills in a professional environment
  • Proven ability to develop players and programs based on club goals and philosophy
  • Solid management and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency and process design and technology applications
  • Proven exceptional customer service skills with internal and external customers
  • Embrace and demonstrate the Club's Values: Character, Commitment, Competition, Community, Communication
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends
  • Must have authorization to work in the US
