Senior Production Engineer (2103924) - Sparks, GA

BASF invested approximately $70 million in capital improvements, which led to 30 new full-time jobs at the Sparks, GA site. This investment illustrates the company's long-term interest in and support of the community.

In addition to providing jobs in the Sparks region, the plant is also producing agriculture solutions for farmers in Georgia and beyond. The Sparks facility produces granular and liquid fungicides and insecticides - that are helping farmers protect their crops during the times they need it most. Better products and solutions for farmers in Georgia directly contribute to the economic development of local communities .

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

    BS Degree in Engineering, Science or related field. Bring your hands-on experience in chemical, Pharmaceutical, Packaging, Cosmetics, Food or beverage manufacturing operations. Chemical processing and unit operations experience within a formulations and packaging environment. Demonstrated experience communicating effectively, both written and orally, building relationships with individuals at multiple levels of the organization. Demonstrated experience leading projects. Demonstrated experience in process troubleshooting and process improvement. Strong computer capabilities, including Microsoft Office.
      Serves as a subject matter expert and resource on the technical capability and capacity of the production plant

        Manage work instructions for all products and product launches in assigned plant area

          Establishes Key Performance Indicators for each of the plant operations under their responsibility. Daily, monitors the KPIs, trends and the ultimate performance of the unit against the plant goals for personal safety, process safety, quality, and productivity

            Serve as manufacturing representative for capital projects in assigned units

              Model behavior consistent with a strong safety culture

                Demonstrate and develop behavior consistent with BASF's global competencies

                  Coaches plant personnel to effectively change behaviors when performance is not meeting expectations

                  It's a plus, if you have:

                    If you have hands-on experience in chemical manufacturing operations, with a broad understanding of chemical processes and unit operations it's a plus. Demonstrated ability to lead capital projects. SAP knowledge and capability. Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt training and certification and BASF is willing to assist you to get certified.
