AECOM is seeking a motivated, highly talented Asset Management Practice Leader to join our global Asset Advisory practice and grow our NY Metro and northeast regional portfolio of work. This position can be located in one of AECOM's New York City or Clifton NJ offices. Practice Leaders work directly with clients and other stakeholders, as well as AECOM leadership, management, and technical teams to ensure project and program objectives are met. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of working with clients in the asset management, facilities management, owner/operator representative, architectural, and/or engineering fields. Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate experience and an interest in managing and delivering high quality technical programs/projects while establishing and maintaining excellent client relations. This position requires a leadership skillset and the ability to direct, inspire, and mentor staff.

About the Asset Advisory Practice

The position advertised is being filled within the Asset Advisory practice which operates out of the NY Metro region and whose offices are located in NYC. The local practice is part of a larger US East regional practice, and part of an even larger US national and global practice network of asset management professionals. The successful candidate will report to and work closely with the US East Regional Practice Leader who also resides in the NY Metro region. The local practice manages several large contracts with NYC agencies, federal entities, corporate and commercial clients, and international organizations. The work spans several areas of the broader asset management discipline, to include client and stakeholder consulting and advisory, data capture and analytics, capital planning advisory, asset/facility management strategic planning, and the development of technical regulations and business processes. The Asset Advisory practice is part of the AECOM Buildings + Places business line.

Job Description: _

Responsibilities of the Asset Management Practice Leader are as follows:

+ Asset Advisory Practice Management (NY Metro Region)

+ Business planning, growth, tracking, and reporting to AECOM senior leadership

+ Program leadership and management

+ Oversight and directorial guidance for smaller projects managed by several PMs

+ Recruiting, educating, mentoring, directing, leading, and supporting local Asset Advisory practice team members, as they will ultimately report to the successful candidate

+ Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the practice and larger programs, including oversight of staffing, quality management coordination, validation of team's adherence to corporate and technical standards, budget setting, approvals, and performance, KPI targeting and tracking per fiscal year, and associated internal business reporting activities

+ Business legal responsibilities include review of draft services contracts and other practice- or program-related documents requiring coordination with AECOM Legal, negotiations and/or discussions with the client and stakeholders regarding exceptions to terms, tracking of performance against contractual obligations (along with practice PMs) such as base scope and additional services, schedules, financial performance, etc.

+ Business development responsibilities include building upon existing client relationships, identifying key growth sectors/clients/regions, setting strategic outreach goals, reviewing RFPs and other contract solicitations, leading proposal response teams, developing proposal content and technical narrative, presenting at opportunity interviews, presenting/participating at industry events, and others

+ Review deliverables prepared by the team as needed

+ Assumes responsibility (in partnership with the Market Leader and Project Approver) for financial, technical and design excellence, overall quality and client satisfaction

+ Ensures project documents, including legal documents, contracts, and task orders are reviewed, approved, signed and filed per the AECOM project management framework

+ Review of project accounting with PMs for all contracts managed and supported by the Asset Advisory practice

+ Facilitates practice, program, project, corporate, and client meetings

+ Effectively communicates relevant business initiative, practice status, program status, and project status information to our clients, the Asset Advisory practice (local, national, global), AECOM technical teams, and AECOM leadership

+ Delivers engaging, informative, and well organized presentations

+ Fosters an atmosphere of inclusion, learning, curiosity, technical excellence, healthy competitiveness, and most importantly partnership and teamwork

+ Consistently acknowledges, appreciates, and motivates both individual staff, the Asset Advisory practice, and program/project teams

+ Effectively utilizes each team member to his/her fullest potential

+ Manages day-to-day client interaction and expectations

+ Develops lasting relationships with clients and develops opportunities for new projects

+ Propels the practice in the delivery of asset management services with a forward lean on those services of a more consulting and advisory nature

+ Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction

+ Exhibits leadership traits and leads confidently through personal example

+ Challenges others to develop as leaders while serving as a role model

Minimum Requirements

+ Bachelor's Degree in architecture, engineering, asset management, facilities management and operations, urban planning, business administration, real estate economics, or related discipline + minimum of ten (10)+ years of combined experience in:

+ Practice (or business unit) leadership experience (technical and administrative leadership)

+ Program/project management (setup, delivery, and closeout)

+ Business development / proposal writing

+ Asset management / portfolio management

Preferred Qualifications

+ Masters or Doctorate Degree

+ Licensed Architect, Engineer, or other relevant professional discipline

+ IAM and/or PMP certifications

+ Ten or more years of asset/facilities management, architectural, engineering, or professional consulting experience

+ Experience with NYC, NYS, NJ, and federal agencies

+ LEED certification or similar

+ Familiarity/understanding/experience in capital planning and client advisory

+ Familiarity/understanding/experience with facilities management and operational planning

+ Familiarity/understanding/experience in asset condition assessments, analysis, and reporting

+ Familiarity/understanding/experience with digital technologies used in asset management practice (data collection, databases, dashboards, BI interface applications, CMMS, BAS/BMS, remote sensing, other)

+ Strong business acumen

+ Strong technical writing ability
