Toxicologist

Paustenbach and Associates is a scientific consulting firm specializing in exposure science, toxicology, industrial hygiene, epidemiology, radionuclides, and the application of regulatory and scientific approaches to characterize the hazards posed by chemicals quantitatively. We specialize in providing data-driven solutions to solve complex scientific problems facing our clients. We currently have office locations in Jackson, Wyoming, and Boulder, Colorado.

We are seeking a highly motivated Ph.D. toxicologist who is looking for an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and has the desire to learn applied/industrial toxicology, exposure science, epidemiology, science in the courtroom, and the application of regulatory and scientific approaches to quantitatively characterizing the hazards posed by chemicals. Individuals in this position will be responsible for supporting toxicologists, as well as other scientists in the firm. Consistent with Paustenbach and Associate's belief in professional development, the individual in this position will be mentored by senior consultants and will have opportunities to collaborate on a wide range on projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to be on the ground floor of a quickly-growing consulting firm and will provide the individual with a steep 4 to 7-year learning curve to understand and learn the profession. Those with some experience in consulting are preferred, but recent graduates are also welcome.

The candidate should have the desire to work in a fast-paced environment, learn about and research a wide range of related scientific disciplines, and combine this information, along with their knowledge, skills, and experiences, to identify solutions to toxicological challenges. Many assignments encompass highly visible regulatory initiatives or mass torts involving exposures to chemicals in the workplace, community, and via consumer products.
