Description

MedVet, headquartered in Worthington, Ohio, is searching for a Director of Clinical Services Education to join our team and serve in a key role to help us continue to lead specialty healthcare for pets. Reporting directly to the Chief Clinical Officer, the Director of Clinical Services Education will work with Training Specialists and Clinical Services leaders to enhance existing programs and architect and implement new technical training programs throughout our nationwide network of veterinary emergency and multi-specialty hospitals.

Location note: Remote work (US) or hybrid in our Worthington, OH home office.

The Director of Clinical Services Education will provide leadership, mentoring, and administrative oversight of the veterinary skills training, continuing education, scholarship program, and collaboration with veterinary technician academic program training opportunities at MedVet. This position will directly manage all training specialists across the organization and serves as a key member of the Healthcare Team.
  • Designs, maintains, and executes a comprehensive veterinary skills training program in collaboration with Hospital Directors, VPs of Clinical Services, and Organizational & Leadership Development team
  • Leads hospital-based Training Specialists across the organization
  • Serves as an active member of Clinical Services Leadership Team and represents Clinical Services on broader learning & development initiatives
  • Has overall accountability for the Clinical Services continuing education and scholarship programs
  • Oversees the creation of and maintenance of affiliation agreements and relationships with associated veterinary technician schools and colleges to promote training at MedVet hospitals
  • Remains knowledgeable of continually evolving trends of education and continuing medical education for Clinical Services team members.

Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of experience related to training and education. Experience in the healthcare and/or veterinary industry is a plus but not required. In addition, this position requires:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education is preferred
  • Experience working with a LMS and designing blended/online learning courses.
  • Ability to lead through influence
  • Highly capable of negotiating success resolution to issues
  • Highly skilled at leading organizational change
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong planning & organizing skills with ability to manage projects/programs effectively
  • Proven ability to lead in a remote/distributed environment
  • Has creative yet practical problem-solving skills; develops and implements simple, scalable solutions and works continuously to improve processes, systems and tools
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
