Senior Production Manager

We seek a strong production manager to lead two units at our Belvidere site, including spray drying and Vitamin C formulations. The human nutrition business is growing and, in turn, so is the site. It's a dynamic and engaging role at Belvidere - do you have energy that you want to focus on a new opportunity?

Come help us create value for the end customers through an innovative product portfolio of nutrition and health solutions and showcase the scientific power of DSM. You'll report directly to Director of Operations - Formulations.

You'll be responsible to:

• Lead a team of direct reports in a three-shift operation and ensure the safe and effective operation of employees and contractors in the unit
• Promote and maintain a culture of high safety, quality, sustainability and continuous improvement mentality
• With the support of engineering and technology departments, gauge Operations performance against ‘best practice' to identify process and productivity improvements that will maintain our leadership position within the market
• Facilitate career planning for direct reports and other high potential employees in organization
• Lead through change when process improvement, new products and capital projects impact area of responsibility

What we like to see in your experience:

• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in a highly regulated environment required
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership/supervisory role in a manufacturing environment required

• Promote and maintain a culture of high safety and continuous improvement expectations
• Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, to a diverse audience
• cGMP manufacturing experience, knowledge of dry powder production processes, green/black belt certification and Process safety and PSM (Process Safety Management) a plus
• Bachelor's degree required, with preference for a degree in a technical discipline
