The Clinician Assistant is primarily responsible for oversight and coordination of clinical services offered to assigned clients, including the provision of individual, group, and family therapy.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services or related field required.
Experience working with children/adolescents in a mental and/or behavioral health setting preferred; particularly experience with major psychiatric diagnosis.
Prior experience providing individual, group, and family therapy.
JOB DUTIES:
Assist in the performance and/or observation of restraints as necessary when ordered by a licensed professional using the correct approved KidsPeace restraint methodology on youth who may weigh in excess of 250 pounds and who are verbally or physically threatening or otherwise presenting a threat to themselves or others.
Co-manage the therapeutic environment by working with the treatment team members to ensure the coordinated treatment and care of clients; recommend program and treatment strategies and consult on client issues.
Complete timely, effective, and accurate documentation including, but not limited to, biopsychosocial and safety assessments, clinical notes, Quality Assurance, chart review and utilization review. Assure documentation is reviewed and co-signed by licensed clinical supervisor.
Perform all program or state specific job duties as assigned.
