Description

BASF's Greenville, Ohio plant is just 35 miles from Dayton and manufactures resin coatings for the automotive industry. . The plant has roughly 140 employees and currently runs 24/7. We are currently seeking an experienced EHS Senior Specialistthat has led and supported EHS programs in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene and Process Safety in a manufacturing environment (preferably chemical or petro chemical). This role will be supporting day-to-day operations to ensure activities are conducted in a safe and effictive manner. It reports into our Site Director and has one direct report who leads the Site's ERP program.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Formula for Success
    Effective communication skills will be critical to developing strong working relationships with site management, employees, the EHS community, regulatory agencies/third parties and will enable you to be a positive change agent within the organization.
      7-10+ years experience in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Emergency Response program management in a manufacturing environment (Chemical or Petrol Chemical preferred) will serve you as you lead/participate in risk assessments to identify and address deficiencies. A degree in a Science related discipline such as Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering or Chemistry ((Bachelor's strongly preferred; may consider Associates with 15+ expertise). Provide tactical and strategic guidance to the site leadership on critical EHS issues and ensure adherence to corporate EHS policies and procedures. Identify, lead and deliver training content, and coach as needed. Roll out programs, procedures, tools, and share successful best practices across the BASF EHS organization.
        Identify and monitor key performance indicators. Lead/support incident investigation and root cause analysis, participate in project reviews, process hazard analyses, and change management processes.
          Solid analytical and computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Word to ensure all internal and external reporting requirements are met. You will also recommend efficiency improvements to the data generation and reporting process in partnership with operations to optimize available systems and technology.
