Under the direction of the Chief Quality Officer and Administrative Director for the Department of Medicine (DOM), the Project Manager is responsible for executing quality improvement goals, as defined by the DOM leadership and Quality Program. In this role, you will coordinate with the DOM Quality Team to ensure that Quality Program projects are designed, organized, and executed successfully and according to agree upon deadlines.Projects may include, but are not limited to: data analytics and reporting, quality improvement process design and execution, piloting interventions, and measurement and evaluation of interventions. Must be able to collaborate with stakeholders across the health system and organize projects across disciplines and care settings. Duties can include working with physicians, directors, managers, and staff to implement improvement processes. Responsibilities will include working with stakeholders internally to identify and compile existing data sources for performance, train staff and faculty using evidence-based guidelines and best practices, and perform continuous improvement to hit performance goals. The Project Manager will ensure that the Quality Program's strategic goals are operationalized and sustained at the department and division level.Qualifications
- A graduate degree in public health, healthcare administration, business administration, public administration, or formal project management training.
- A minimum of three years of project management experience with at least two years spent in a part-time or full-time administrative role in a large healthcare provider organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management software, data analytics.
- Must have an outstanding grasp of information technology concepts and processes
- Ability to foster trusting relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently toward goals, solve problems and work flexibly in a changing, complex, diverse, and politicized environment.
- Strong matrix management and team-building skills; experience working with professionals from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong sense of confidentiality and demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
- Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments, and delegate tasks as needed; candidates should be ready to lead/direct significant activities.
