Position Purpose: Supervise the day-to-day operations of the medical review unit
Oversee changes to medical review unit functions and performance in relation to company mission, philosophy objectives and policies
Assist senior management with budgets and forecast for strategic planning and key initiatives. Balance current and future needs effectively based on daily analysis of volumes and staffing.
Coordination with departments associated with the lines of business within the Medical Review unit
Assist senior management with statistical analysis of data and provide input regarding processes and gaps in performance related work volumes and staffing
Perform departmental quality audits for team members and educate team regarding process and workflow improvement
Education/Experience: Associate's degree in related field or equivalent experience. 3+ years of related experience in healthcare, medical review or claims. Previous experience as a supervisor or in a lead role. Ability to promote and carry out initiatives associated with driving quality results in a production driven environment.
