You are responsible for

Providing strategic, analytical and methodological expertise to support 1) the development of descriptive and predictive analytics for medical products, therapies and services, primarily from healthcare administrative data, and 2) the development of health economic and outcomes evidence for products, therapies and services. The research will focus on Philips' product portfolio and is global in scope.

You are part of

You will be one of the first members of the new Data team we are building in Image-Guided Therapy (IGT). You will have the unique opportunity to help us shape and build this team. The direct reporting line is to the IGT Data Transformation Leader.

In this role you will collaborate with a broad diversity of people, internally with scientists, marketeers, clinical experts, etc. in the IGT business and externally with our partners in the hospitals for the co-creation initiatives. You will work with your peers in other business clusters and functions to ensure cross-cluster alignment.

To succeed in this role, you'll need a customer-first attitude and the following
  • Masters level degree or higher in Public Health (MPH), Health Economics, Biostatistics, or equivalent (may consider equivalent work experience)
  • 5+ years' experience in data science and analytics
  • 2+ years' experience developing scientific publications using healthcare data, ideally with health insurance claims data, including outcomes research methodologies like propensity score matching, survival analysis, and similar
  • 2+ years' experience developing analytics in R and/or SAS
  • Prior experience with cloud-based analytics, ideally familiarity with AWS tools (Sagemaker, Redshift, etc.)
Preferred requirements
  • Experience with OMOP common data models and the OHDSI toolset
  • Experience with ISPOR/ISPE best-practices and methods for the analysis and publication of retrospective, observational research
  • Familiarity with clinical and economic measures in healthcare (e.g. HEDIS)
  • Experience working in a regulated environment, such as a pharmaceutical, medical device or life sciences company, or directly for a provider network
