Director of Prototyping

The Director of Prototyping will be the senior businessleaderandsubject matter expertforTEAGUEsprototyping business and services.Theywill build andmaintaina world-class prototyping team that supports design and the development of new products and experiences forTEAGUEsclients. Ifyoudlike to come build the future with usand thinkyouvegot the chops for the jobwe want to meet you.What We Just Said,Nowin6Bullet Points (a.k.a., Essential Qualifications):Experience:Bachelors Degree or equivalent in a design related field required; 15years experiencein a prototyping business with deep breadth and evidence of successful prototyping outcomes for clients; 5+years experiencein a leadership role within a prototyping business driving business results and prototype delivery; experience providing long-term planning as well as oversight of day-to-day operations; distinguished credentials; a recognized leader, thinker and builder who inspires others; expansive prototype network and supplier/vendor network preferred; a proven track record of successful projects and satisfied clients; experience with networking and building client/business relationshipsSpecial skills:Specialized knowledge of the requirements of a prototyping operation that supports design, including aviation or transportation design, experience design, and productdevelopment both physical and digital;experience pitching, scoping, and developing execution plans for cross-disciplinary, multi-disciplinary project teams (ID/UX design, mechanical, electrical, software, lighting, VR/AR/MR) to deliver on a broad mix of physical/digital prototyping challenges;demonstrated experience and interest in the business side of prototyping; demonstrated ability leading strategic function(s);demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills; demonstrated client & team management skills; exceptional presentation, communication and writing skills; exceptional project framing skills; defining approach, deliverables, stages, process to ensure confidence within internal teams and with client; excellent follow-through, prioritization and organizational skillsSpecial Requirements: Frequent interaction with clients and co-workersrequiresregular attendance in the workplace;may berequiredto travel domestically and internationally periodicallyPassion:Building andoptimizingcreative, high-functioning teamsRole:Leading and shaping acutting-edgeprototyping team that aligns with TEAGUEs strategic visionPersonality:Visionary, business-minded,collaborative,innovative,inspiring to othersTEAGUE is currently working remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are a Washington State based company. All employees must reside in the state of Washington and be able to access one of our studio locations in the greater Seattle area when we return to work in our hybrid/remote work approach.
