Position: Client Strategy & Growth Manager Position Summary: The Advisory Services Manager has significant responsibilities for client management, solution design, engagement execution, and generation of on time, high quality project deliverables. The position requires the ability to manage client expectations, set priorities to insure timely work completion, and adhere to project budgets. Managers regularly receive confidential and/or sensitive information necessitating discretion at all times. While Advisory Services Managers utilize established consulting procedures and change methodologies as needed, they are encouraged to develop new innovative approaches that further improve our offerings. As our client engagements range from being routine to highly complex, this individual must be a collaborative member of the team who can effectively work across departments and workstreams. Job Description: Primary Responsibilities The Advisory Services Department groups the responsibilities associated with Managers into the categories below. Advisory Services Managers must possess a minimum of a foundational level of knowledge and/or experience in the categories of stakeholder management, problem solving & solution design, and engagement execution. Stronger knowledge and/or experience are required in the area of communications. Examples of skills and responsibilities for each category are provided below. * Data Collection & Analysis: Provide comprehensive reporting and analysis of data, including requirement gathering, ad-hoc report and insight requests, creation, distribution, and summary of self-assessment. Conducting environmental research to support client understanding including Competitive Intel, Population Health Program Participation, and Client executive bios. Compile and support creation of Financial & Market Models, including gathering data and developing summary of models, and providing improvements to existing models where appropriate. * Administrative Support: Plan agenda item and facilitate internal Department meetings. Track and follow-up on in-progress deliverables. Conduct research on programs and practices to keep team abreast of industry changes. Conduct and facilitate post-engagement surveys and feedback sessions. * Stakeholder Management: Develop strong relationships with staff up through the middle management level within a client's organization. Prepare agendas and materials that support meeting objectives and keep participants on task. Work with internal Subject Matter Experts to extract knowledge for use in client solutioning and development of transition plans for implementation. * Problem Solving and Solution Design: Assimilate broad information from various sources, apply critical thinking skills, and contribute to the formulation of strategic solutions to solve or alleviate issues related to specific client problems or challenges. Support the development of business cases to inform the client and support the solutions presented. * Engagement Execution (Deliverable Ownership): Gather information from various sources (subject matter experts, previous projects, market research, etc.) and create tailored documents, presentation, and other materials to support assigned deliverables within a client engagement. Take a single task on a client project and drive it from inception to completion while managing all milestones and timelines associated with the task. At a basic level, initiate, plan, execute, control, and complete the work of oneself or a cross functional team to achieve specific goals and meet specific success criteria at the specified time. * Content Expertise: Foundational understanding of consulting processes, approaches and techniques required to assess client's capabilities, develop recommendations and solutions that leverage Lumeris offerings. Possess a solid understanding of concepts, theories, and developments in the healthcare industry, particularly in the population health management area. * Communication: Clearly and concisely articulate complex information, both in writing and verbally, tailored to the needs of the audience for which it is intended. Qualifications * BS/BA degree in business, industrial engineering, nursing or a health-related field required. A Master's degree in Business Administration or Health or Hospital Administration is strongly preferred. * 6+ years of operations performance improvement experience with either a consulting firm (hospital/healthcare focus) and/or with a hospital/healthcare provider. * Project Management experience including creating work plans, budgets, managing budget to actual, and goal setting/benchmarks. * Experience driving results in a matrixed project setting. * Able to coach and mentor staff. * Able to actively manage and deliver on client expectations around project activities, timelines, deliverables, outcomes, etc. * Able to provide targeted communication (written and verbal) to internal and external constituents. * Proven analytical and process redesign skills (problem solving, quantitative, workflow process, etc.). * Able to work in fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities.
