Director, Lab Services

My client is expanding and seeks a Director to take on the following tasks:

* Provide strategic direction and operations management of lab services team

* Implement standard processes and experimental procedures to ensure the generation of high-quality data and stellar customer satisfaction

* Collaborate with clients and demonstrate capabilities, project status, and project results

* Engage and influence team members across multidisciplinary teams while prioritizing multiple projects and meeting deadlines

* Train laboratory staff on procedures, good laboratory practice, and technical methods

* Lead staff to assure that projects are completed, roles and schedules are implemented

* Ensure the inventory of reagents and consumables are available to meet the needs of the team

* Contribute to the management of the operational budget

* Serve as lab operations representative in capital project design and delivery teams

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

* PhD and 6+ years of experience that includes directing labs, managing projects, and serving clients

* Proven track record of effectively managing lab and instrumentation operations

* Familiarity with diverse types of laboratory methods including molecular biology, cell biology, single cell RNA-Seq, and bioanalytical characterization studies

* Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and drive to results with a high emphasis on data quality and integrity

* Deep knowledge of GLP, CLIA, compliance, quality, and data security requirements for studies analyzing patient samples

* Demonstrated highly effective communication and organizational skills
