As a highly motivated scientist with skill in design and execution of complex multidisciplinary projects toward molecular diagnostic tests in the treatment of cancer, you will contribute to the design and management of projects that employ the companys novel platform technologies in drug development in collaboration with pharma partners. The projects will enable the company to formulate clinical questions that contribute to the care of cancer patients.

Responsibilities:

* Design, manage and execute projects focused on cancer biomarker discovery with a particular emphasis in drug development, using your familiarity with leading edge genomics technology platforms.

* Ensure high data quality and the requisite scientific background and knowledge to navigate the complexity of experimental design and interpretation.

* Build a continually expanding knowledge base in cancer biology and genomics, biomarker discovery and development.

* Work with cancer biologists, technologists, bioinformaticians and data scientists in a collaborative and project orientated manner.

* Contribute to the development of experimental and computational research programs addressing fundamental questions using our state-of-the-art platform technology in diagnostic and therapeutic areas of cancer biology.

* Interact with external collaborators and pharma partners to drive projects from inception to completion.

* Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams and ensure that members contribute to their highest potential.

* Apply biological insights and knowledge of cancer biology to scientific and product decisions.

* Ability to manage cross-functional projects and timelines.

Requirements

* M.D./Ph.D. or Ph.D. in Oncology, Cancer Biology, Epigenetics and Genomics or related field with 3+ years relevant postdoctoral experience in academia or industry.

* Experience in the field of oncology and its underlying biology, along with genomics and epigenomics expertise, as demonstrated by publications, involving impactful tools or data sets as well as presentations at international conferences.

* Understanding existing large data sets and modern tools in cancer genomics for processing and analysis of primary data with proficiency in programming languages such as R or python.

* Experience with experimental design in population based clinical studies.

* An understanding of experimental limitations of next generation sequencing experiments as applied broadly in cancer.

* Demonstrated ability to apply these skills to uncover new biological insights.

* Excellent interpersonal, teaming, written and spoken communication skills.
