Math Interventionist K-5

As a member of the RTI team the Math Interventionist is responsible for working with Tier II and III students. Incumbent will provide and plan for appropriate grade level learning experiences. Coordination and collaboration with other departments and SMEs as necessary to ensure adequate support an instruction.

Primary Responsibilities

Measure student progress by gathering data from i-Ready diagnostic and growth monitoring assessments along with lessons and state testing scores then develop lessons.

• Collaborate with teachers in K-12 range to implement small groups, one on one instruction or in class support.
• Work with small groups on math skills in grades 6-12
• Mentor teachers in carrying out center based differentiated instruction
• Support at-risk students through one on one interventions and classroom support
• Act as RTI team member to discuss and decide on interventions for students referred by homeroom teachers.
• Team member to implement IEPs and 504s.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• A Bachelors' degree from an accredited institution.
• Arizona Department of Education Certification (preferred) or,
• Highly Qualified through AEPA/NES testing or equivalent
• Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
