As a Business Controller with Bellwether Forest Products, a division of LOTS Group Sweden, you play a key role in the performance management of our business. You will report to our Managing Director, with a dotted line to the CFO of LOTS Group, and work closely with all members of the management team. You play an important role in helping the organization achieve growth targets and foster a sound and solid financial controlling practice.
The Bellwether Forest Products office is located in Camden, South Carolina. This position is available to work remotely with office visits as needed based on the needs of the business.
Our employees receive a high level of freedom and responsibility. As a LOTS Group co-worker, you are expected to follow the processes and methods we do have, but also to apply your own business sense, analytical abilities, leadership, interpersonal skills and good judgement to solve challenges and tasks for which there yet is no standard. The nature of being a growing business, forces - and allows - us to be exceedingly entrepreneurial and solution-oriented.
Examples of work duties:
Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-moving environment and enjoys tackling new challenges. You see inconsistency as an opportunity to influence rather than a frustration and enjoy playing a part in getting Bellwether Forest Products to the next level. You like the fact that the company's growing, with an entrepreneurial culture and ambitious colleagues.
We believe that you have at least two to five years of previous experience from working as a Business Controller or equal experience as an accounting consultant advising financial control issues at a top firm. You will have a rigorous understanding of GAAP, budget processes and book closing. You also have a good general business sense and find yourself quickly grasping what the key profitability drivers are when examining a new business. Moreover, you either already are or aspire to be an Excel wizard; you find it strangely satisfying to build neat and clever spreadsheet models.
