Job Description
The Goddard School located at 2465 East West Connector, Austell GA 30106 is growing and we are looking to add to our awesome teaching staff. We are looking for the following positions:

PART-TIME ASSISTANT TEACHER

The Goddard School is a leader in the preschool industry and continues to set the standard for excellence. The focus of the program is to create a life-long love of learning in our hands-on, experience based environment.

In our warm, loving atmosphere our highly qualified teachers support the healthy development of children from six weeks to six years. Our teachers write and implement their own lesson plans based on the Goddard Developmental Goals and our monthly school theme. Lead teachers also complete other duties such as daily attendance reports, progress reports and parent conferences. The hands on efforts of the school owners and directors allow our teachers to focus on their children, lesson plans and teaching to ensure a fun filled day of learning.

Education/Experience:

Qualified candidates must have strong written and verbal skills, PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE, and a desire to learn and implement the Goddard School Programs. Lead teachers should have an Early Childhood Education Degree, CDA or a degree in a related field with emphasis in Early Childhood Education. Prior experience in a preschool or childcare setting is required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Classroom Qualifications:

•Demonstrated interest, commitment, and ability to challenge students at all levels.

•Evidence of strong, positive student & classroom management. .

•Commitment to establishing effective, proactive and positive parent communication.

•Proficiency with classroom technology (e.g., interactive white board, computers, etc.).

•Meet school's quality assurance requirements, curriculum and activities

•Comply with all state, local and Goddard Systems, Inc. regulations

Additional Qualifications:

•Must be able to lift 40 pounds; Assume postures in low level positions that best allow physical and visual contact with children

•Must be able to sustain a high level of energy.

•Bend to perform various tasks numerous times throughout the day; Stoop, sit on the floor

•Team Player and ability to be flexible in assignment and work hours required

•Commitment to Professional Development

•Current First Aid and CPR certifications
