Job Description

REQUIREMENTS Teachers
Description
  • Collaborates with classroom teaching team to prepare and implement curriculum
  • Ensures that environment is set up appropriate and effectively

Requirements
  • BA degree preferred in Early Childhood or related field
  • Minimum of 12 units in Early Childhood Education/CD including core courses; prefer 24 units or ongoing ECE education to complete 24 units
  • 5 years' teaching experience in a Reggio-inspired and/or Jewish preschool
  • Proficiency of oral and written communication and use of technology
Associate Teachers
Description
  • Collaborates with classroom teaching team to prepare and implement curriculum and an appropriate environment

Requirements
  • AA degree in Early Childhood or related field preferred
  • A minimum 12 units in Early Childhood Education including core courses
  • One-year experience in a preschool classroom
  • Knowledge of Reggio Emilia preferred
  • Proficiency of oral and written communication and use of technology

Assistant/Floater/Support Teacher

Description
  • Supports classroom teaching team and contributes to the classroom as the job description describes

Requirements
  • AA degree in Early Childhood or related field preferred
  • A minimum of 6 ECE units in Early Childhood Education in courses designated in the following areas: Child Development, Child, Family and Community, ECE Curriculum, ECE Programs
COMPENSATIONMinimum starting pay rates are as follows; actual rate to be determined based on ECE units, college degrees, and years of classroom experience:
  • Assistant Teachers - starting at $19.00/hour
  • Associate Teachers - starting at $21.00/hour
  • Teachers - starting at $25.00/hour

Covid Safety: The JCCSF takes staff and student health very seriously and has aligned all of our operating procedures with the San Francisco Department of Public Health. Staff are required to wear masks all day, except while eating in a space away from children. Students will wear masks in all spaces, even outdoors but will be permitted to take off masks during meals and nap. Our program support teams clean and disinfect our indoor active spaces after each cohort, and all public spaces throughout the day. Program staff help to keep the room and toys clean during the day, and then the program support deep cleans each day after program is over.
