Role Overview:
ThePICProduction Technicianis responsible for routine animal care and general farm tasks to ensure the well-being of the animals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Entry-level position with limited prior training or relevant work experienceWork as a team player by accomplishing daily department work requirements and farm goalsDaily animal husbandry tasksMaintain accurate and timely production information and records as requiredAssist in moving animals and maintaining efficient animal flowsTreat sick animals with a variety of pharmaceuticals by injection, oral application, and/or other methods as requiredAssist with maintaining barn, including sanitizing and washing multiple areas on the farm using high pressure equipment, as well as office cleanliness and laundry dutiesFlexibility with a willingness to change plans according to the direction of farm leadershipAdhere to the Companys animal care policies and procedures including: providing a physical environment that meets the animals needs, providing access to adequate water and high quality feed, providing humane treatment of the animals, providing identification and appropriate treatment of animals in need of health care and following the guidelines for euthanasiaRead and understand the companys emergency notification process and how it applies to their specific worksiteAbide by all company policies, procedures and guidelines as directed by farm leadership, including but not limited to: The Companys Safety Program, understanding all safety requirements of the job and performing the job in compliance with those safety requirements The Companys bio-security protocols All environmental laws and procedures as well as report all environmental issues immediately to supervisor
