Role Overview

Wood is recruiting for a Project Manager (sediments) based out of Kennesaw, GA office.

Responsibilities:

Lead multi-disciplined project teams in sample design and collection, data interpretation, geospatial analysis, hydrodynamic modeling, feasibility studies, cost estimating, design, and remedial action
Team leader, client contact, a main communicator with the regulator agencies (EPA and state agencies). Typical projects will be performed under CERCLA (Superfund) or RCRA administrative orders and/or guidance
PM will be responsible for the overall site strategy with input from the project team and communication of that strategy to our clients
Also responsible for the budget, scope of work, schedule, project team organization
PM is expected to also communicate well with regulatory agencies and multiple stakeholders

Skills / Qualifications

Minimum of B.S in engineering, geology, or environmental sciences
Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologies (PG) certification
10 to 15 years of experience as a technical lead and/or project manager on contaminated sites.
Experience managing Superfund and RCRA processes including feasibility studies, design, and construction
Strong skills in technical writing, presentations, and communications.
Masters degree or PhD a plus
Works with a variety of contaminants (mercury, PCBs, chlorinated organics) and industries (chemical, paper, manufacturing, etc)
Experience in investigations and remediation of sediment and surface water
