Regional Planning's Environmental Operations Associate will play a key role in tracking and analyzing the environmental data that is core to Honda's progress towards its 2030 and 2050 environmental targets. * CO2 Data: Gather Honda's North American CO2 emissions data from representatives across the company, review the data for completeness and accuracy, and analyze the data in relation to Honda's CO2 reduction targets. Maintain CO2 database, including data/analysis and documentation of CO2 data collection guidelines and processes. Prepare data for routine reporting as appropriate and coordinate with relevant teams. Meet with CO2 representatives on an annual basis, at minimum, to review data, processes, targets, and progress. * Renewable Energy Data: Track renewable energy use across Honda's North American organization, allocate renewable energy credits (RECs) as appropriate, and coordinate with other teams as appropriate. Maintain renewable energy database, including data/analysis and documentation of REC retirements. Coordinate with other teams on an ongoing basis to ensure data completeness and accuracy. Prepare data for routine reporting as appropriate. * Water and Waste Data: Gather Honda's North American water and waste data from representatives across the company (with a particular focus on manufacturing), review the data for completeness and accuracy, and analyze the data in relation to Honda's water and waste reduction targets. Prepare data for routine reporting as appropriate. Support efforts to track and manage sustainable materials implementation data. * Environmental Policy Tracking: Track relevant federal-, state-, and local-level environmental policies (excluding manufacturing compliance regulations) that impact Honda's U.S. operations. Maintain database of relevant topics such as green tariffs, renewable energy incentives, and local air quality regulations. Communicate information to and coordinate with relevant teams as appropriate. We are looking for qualified people with diverse backgrounds and experiences, open minds, and a disciplined work ethic.
