Summary: We are seeking a motivated individual to perform high throughput cytotoxicity cell health and pharmacodynamic experiments aimed at understanding targets for the pharmacology of our antibody-based therapeutics, as well as meeting our expanding needs in characterizing mechanisms of action in the cellular environment. Working as a member of the In Vitro Pharmacology team Center of Core Research and Technology, this person will interface with an experienced team of discovery scientists across the Research organization dedicated to the mission of improving the outcomes of patients' lives through best-in-class cancer therapeutics. The successful candidate will have experience or aptitude in cell culture and aseptic technique, high throughput systems automation, and cell-based assays. The ideal candidate will be energetic and enthusiastic about lab work science, highly collaborative and flexible in working with multiple researchers/investigators on various projects, and an excellent colleague. Principal Responsibilities: * Perform routine, high throughput, cell titer glo cytotoxicity assays health and pharmacodynamic assays * Assist in the development of new cell-based assays to increase the impact of the In Vitro Pharmacology group * Perform routine cell biology, such as cell culture maintenance, and high throughput cell-based screening * Assist in the implementation of a new and maintenance of a LIMS system for sample and request management * Maintain excellent record keeping and relationships across the Research Department * Interface with project leads, direct management, and peers within Core Research and Technology to ensure studies are aligned with project goals and best experimental practices * Communicate with project leads to ensure executed studies satisfy intended goals and results are interpreted appropriately Required Qualifications: * 01-3 years'' experience working in a research laboratory with a Bachelor's degree in a scientific field * Demonstrated experience with or aptitude for in cell culture and other cell biology techniques * Familiarity with or aptitude for automation and robotic systems in a high throughput assay environment * Strong desire to learn and educate on innovative cell-based assay technologies emerging in cell-based assay field * Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional research environment * Highly organized with the ability to multitask * Quick learner with willingness to learn new skills and technologies * Excellent teamworking and communication skills, a proactive attitude, and innovative and interdisciplinary thinking towards accomplishing goals and solving issues Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with cytotoxicity assays cell health and other pharmacodynamic assays and assay development * Knowledge of high throughput screening * Experience with LIMS systems and/or ELN As the leading employer in our industry in the Pacific Northwest, Seagen is proud to offer a competitive total compensation package as well as a comprehensive benefits program designed to support the whole lives of our employees and their families.
