Job Summary: Reporting to a Grant and Contracts Manager, you will assist in oversight of the administration of our subgranting and procurement activities. To support the team you will help expand WRI's diversity of implementing partners, assess and monitor subgrantees, support and review procurement activities, and contribute to compliance training activities. You will be part of the Grants & Contracts team and work with other WRI offices on organization-wide improvement initiatives. This position is remote due to Covid-19, but you will be based in Washington, DC once restrictions have been lifted. Long-term remote work in the US may be a possibility. Job Responsibilities: * Ensure that through the life of a subgrant, program staff have the tools and information to ensure proper governance and compliance with funder requirements * Support WRI's push to achieve a more diverse partner and contractor portfolio, expanding the Institute's work with small organizations and entities from historically marginalized and underrepresented groups * Review subgrantee organizational assessments and recommend monitoring and controls based on risk categorizations * Perform risk-based reviews of selected subgrantee financial reports and backup * Maintain and enhance the subrecipient monitoring tracking system and work with G&C and program staff to ensure timely collection and review of all subgrantee audits * Ensure that the closeout of subgrants is timely and efficient; that all required documents are obtained and filed; and that subgrantee files meet legal and auditing requirements * Work with program staff to plan high-integrity procurements and establish contracts that ensure value for money * Review and approve grant, contract, and amendment requests to ensure application of WRI policies and sound agreement formation * Administer the process and systems related to review, approval, and signature of agreements * Regularly scan for weaknesses or prospective strengths in areas of responsibility and advise G&C Managers of such, including steps taken or proposed to improve * Contribute to communications and training for implementing teams about Grants & Contracts policies, practices, and procedures Job Qualifications: * Three+ years of relevant full-time work experience * Master's degree in relevant field (or a bachelor's with 2 years of additional relevant experience) * Grant or contract administration certification desirable * Strong MS Office skills * Desirable to have knowledge of and experience with US Government regulations including FAR or 2 CFR 200 * Salesforce and/or SharePoint experience desirable * Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills * Attention to deadlines and detail-oriented, particularly with respect to donor agreements, contracts and other legal documents * US work authorization is required for this position. Potential Salary: $59,000 - $77,000. Salary is commensurate with experience and other compensable factors. How to Apply: Please submit a resume with cover letter.
