Description: Large Food Manufacturing Company in Central WI is looking for a Sr EHS ManagerThis position will oversee 2 facilities right down the street from each other.
****Candidates MUST have prior experience in a manufacturing plant (food/beverage preferred)**Relocation Assistance is available
- Responsible for the implementation of successful safety programs accomplished through coordination of Federal, State, and local regulations and by building a "safety comes first" attitude amongst all employees. - Responsible to work with plant leadership in managing the safety and environmental programs at facilities. - The EHS Manager will be responsible for overseeing all Safety and On-the-Job Training (OJT) in the plant. This includes working with department leaders to develop processes and systems for the training of hourly partners in their individual jobs. - Will work with hourly support staff and hourly trainers to ensure that appropriate adult learning techniques are applied and appropriate checklists and other applicable learning tools (e.g. VWI's, e-learning, classroom via vendors) are developed, updated, and utilized.
What you'll do: •Lead efforts to improve Safety and Regulatory compliance for OSHA (21 different programs), the company's Health & Environmental programs, and lead direct reports that support the above programs. •Assess strengths and weaknesses of the plant's safety, •Learn other regulatory programs as needed such as Process Safety Management, Risk Management Programs. •Stay current on regulations of OSHA and EPA to keep Management informed of changes. •Attend required training to maintain required certifications. •Review incident reports and ensure leaders have identified root causes. •Audit each department with the department leader and members of the Safety Team to identify improvement opportunities. •Conduct partner safety observation (PSO) training for leaders in the plant. Participate in observations with leaders in their departments. •Oversee all Safety and On-the-Job Training in the plant. This training will involve assuring the proper training of hourly partners and overseeing the processes to properly document the training. •Together with the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements. •Establishes and Audits PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes, to ensure customer requirements are met. •Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met, and determines appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures.
Requirements ~ •License/ Certification Occupational Safety and Health or related field. Bachelor's Degree •Minimum of 5 years in Creation of safety programs; training programs, conduct plant audits to identify regulatory improvement opportunities, ways to reduce potential injuries, and convey to plant leadership, generate reports of audit findings.
