Environmental Manager

Fortune 500 manufacturing leader is searching for an Environmental Manager in the Eugene area. Ideal candidate will have a BS in Engineering, Sciences or related and a minimum of 5-10 years of industrial manufacturing environmental compliance experience. Air, Waste and Water...multi media. Will consider consultants with a strong manufacturing client base background. Preference for candidates with Title V experience. Position will report to the Site Leader and dotted line to Corporate Environmental. Must have strong leadership qualities and understand how to influence others. Excellent based, bonus and benefits. Job Requirements:

• Provide effective environmental compliance and sustainability management
• Managing environmental programs and compliance
• Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation
• Perform environmental regulatory compliance inspections or monitoring
• Manage relationships with environmental regulatory agencies
• Execute and drive environmental compliance and environmental stewardship at the plant level
• Uphold safety and environmental policies
• Direct the environmental compliance audits, internal audits and maintenance of the environmental compliance calendar
• Reporting responsibilities related to environmental regulations
• Optimizing designated company environmental aspects
• Manage the buildings environmental program and continuously evaluate potential environmental risks
• Keep current with emerging environmental regulations
• Lead environmental initiatives to ensure compliance with all federal, state, local and company environmental regulations
• Reviewing and reporting environmental compliance and performance
• Manage activities in environmental and DOT compliance functions, including but not limited to the following: permits, hazardous waste handling, and environmental monitoring and compliance
• Manage all aspects of the environmental department including environmental compliance
• Participate in corporate environmental activities including audits and environmental improvement task forces
• Assist management in implementing environmental improvement programs to promote increased environmental performance
• Manage routine and ongoing environmental compliance issues
• Perform internal assessments of environmental compliance systems
