Overview:
Element has an opportunity for a Microbiologist. In this role you will be primarily responsibility is to support laboratory operations by performing and evaluating reusable medical device efficacy testing in support of our Life Sciences group.Elements Life Sciences group supports developers and manufacturers in the antimicrobial, food and nutraceutical, medical device, and pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. We provide personalized testing solutions and regulatory consulting support to validate the safety and efficacy of our clients products at every stage of development, production and market release.

Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate records of all performed procedures in assisting in implementation of ISO/IEC 17025:2005 in the laboratoryPerforms Study Director functions, as outlined in EPA and FDA Good Laboratory Practices Regulations (40 CFR Part 160 & 21 CFR Part 58) and is responsible for the data analysis, report generation and technical integrity of studies under his/her directionResponsible for the design, conduct and interpretation of test assays and of research and development experiments for the clientsResponsible for ensuring their studies are scheduled correctly, supplies are available and all necessary information is present in the protocols. May conduct necessary R (or request the lab/manager to coordinate necessary R) to assure proper study execution

Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in biological science or related field required and 3-5 years of applicable experience or a Masters degree and 1-2 years applicable of experience in a laboratory environment is preferredAble to become current and stay current with EPA and FDA Good Laboratory Practice Regulations (40 CFR Part 160 and 21 CFR Part 58).and is responsible for the data analysis, report generation and technical integrity of studies under his/her directionResponsible for communicating with the lab technicians about each study and remain available to answer any questions while studies are being conductedSelf-motivated team player with excellent organizational skillsGood communication skills#LI-DB1
