The Company
Dyno Therapeutics is reshaping the gene therapy landscape through AI-powered vectors. Through the application of our transformative technologies and strategic partnerships with leaders in gene therapy, we believe a future with life changing gene therapies for millions of people is within reach.
Our team includes world-class molecular and synthetic biologists, protein engineers and gene therapy scientists working alongside software engineers, data scientists, and machine learning experts. Dyno was named Startup of the Year in 2020 by Xconomy!
The Role
Scientist - Molecular Biology . The Gene Therapy Group at Dyno applies technologies created by the Dyno platform to discover novel AAV capsids with the potential to improve gene therapies. The group is organized into Program Teams, each with a focus on improving delivery to a target tissue type. The Ocular Program is applying the Dyno platform toward improving AAV for delivery of gene therapies to diverse tissues and cell types within the eye. We are building a team of researchers motivated by an interest in eye biology and a drive to improve treatment options for ocular disorders leading to blindness. As a Scientist on the Ocular Program Team, you will support the Program as it advances through different functional areas of Dyno's platform. You will learn and integrate across the many disciplines represented within Dyno, including library design, computational biology, high-throughput library cloning, vector production, and tissue processing. You are expected to design and execute AAV screening and characterization experiments, and optimize engineering methods for application to the eye. You will actively collaborate with other wet lab and computational scientists, and will train and mentor junior staff members. While your primary focus will be in the eye, you will have opportunities to learn from and contribute to a diverse set of innovative scientific and cultural projects.
