Job Summary:The Director of Environmental Policy and Science is responsible for the development and implementation of a proactive internal and external policy agenda tied to the company's business priorities and core values in the area of environmental sustainability.

The Environmental Project Manager would assist the Director in the project tracking of new environmental goals, as well as assist in research projects as needed to support the development of the goals. They will be responsible for working across multiple teams in all segments of the business to help track progress, identify barriers, and create alignment for project timelines and deliverables across the company.
Responsibilities:Project management
  • Support the project management of the development of the 10+ goals across multiple departments. This includes developing a project tracker for the status of the goal development tasks, and following up with collaborators across the company to ensure on time delivery of the work. Requires candidate to:
    • Establish timelines and manage projects to meet key milestones
    • Maintain comprehensive project tracking to monitor and report project progress
    • Escalate when deliverables are off calendar in a timely manner
    • Think strategically and with a solution-oriented approach
    • Collect and organize inputs and edits from multiple departments,
  • Document the status of the project, as well as all meetings and correspondence, as a means to properly communicate within the project team and develop the project documents.
Project development and assistance
  • Assisting with miscellaneous tasks as needed to help move environmental goal work forward, such as collecting data of industry standards, support dialogue with NGO partners to understand external stakeholder points of view, etc.
  • Assist in crafting materials for internal audiences to effectively communicate options , recommendations and supporting rationales


Basic Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of program management experience
  • Strong project management skills, familiarity with project management approaches, and experience managing projects end to end
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience drawing insights internal and external data
  • Environmental topic knowledge and /or willingness and enthusiasm to dig into environmental issues
  • Excellent communication skills - can communicate strategies, goals, and progress status in a compelling way to teammates
  • Forward-looking; able to recognize trends quickly and assist in development of effective strategies to influence outcomes
  • Solid organizational skills; able to juggle and prioritize projects and tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to keep accurate records
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills
  • Strong team player that works cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions
  • Comfortable communicating with all partners at multiple levels
  • Flexible to change while able to manage and support multiple projects concurrently
  • Proactive and demonstrates strong initiative able to manage day-to-day work-flow with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Preferred experience at a top tier management consulting firm, or multinational enterprise
  • Strategic thinker
  • Able to navigate fast-paced, multicultural, multi-stakeholder contexts

Required Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
