We are accepting applications for a Fish Hatchery Superintendent within the Division of Wildlife, headquartered at Senecaville State Fish Hatchery in Guernsey county. What you will do

* Supervises all personnel & plans, schedules & executes fish production activities at the assigned Fish Hatchery (e.g., collection & care of broodstock, eggs, fry, fingerlings & yearlings; distribution & stocking, identification & treatment of diseases & nutritional problems & monitoring water quality & chemical parameters, compilation, analysis & interpretation of data to determine problems, efficiency & cost effectiveness of production techniques to prepare reports & recommendations)
* Participates in preparing training lessons & provides training to personnel in fish production
* Drafts quarterly & annual budgets for hatchery operation & submits to central office for approval
* Purchases materials, solicits bids, maintains inventory records & surveys
* Plans & directs building & grounds maintenance

Completion of undergraduate core program in fisheries science; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in aquaculture; valid driver's license.

* Or completion of undergraduate core program in biological sciences to include 6 courses in fisheries science (e.g., fisheries management, fishery techniques, limnology, ichthyology, fish biology, fish ecology, aquatic entomology, parasitology, fish physiology) & 2 courses in statistics; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in aquaculture; valid driver's license.
* Or completion of graduate core program in biological sciences to include 6 courses in fisheries science (e.g., fisheries management, fishery techniques, limnology, ichthyology, fish biology, fish ecology, aquatic entomology, parasitology, fish physiology) & 2 courses in statistics; 1 yr. trg. or 1 yr. exp. in aquaculture; valid driver's license.
* Or 2 yrs. exp. as Fish Hatchery Coordinator, 22232; valid driver's license.
* Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
