Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the collecting, maintaining, and organizing regulatory records.
  • Track injuries and incidents and near miss events to reduce or eliminate high potential exposures.
  • Assist operations with accident investigations to identify causes and to determine how such accidents might be prevented.
  • Support environmental sustainability programs.
  • Provides support to the Loss Prevention Control programs as needed. Implements fire protection and security systems to protect property from loss.
  • Executes responses plans in the event of an environmental emergency.
  • Coordinates worker's compensation claims in conjunction with insurance companies or service companies.
  • Communicate safety issues, concerns & policy changes to all plant personnel, including conducting safety and/or regulatory training for facility personnel and/or contractors as needed.
  • Inspect/audit assigned facilities to ensure compliance with EHS policies and procedures and applicable local, state, and federal rules and regulations.

  • Provides documentation and oversight with site-specific regulatory programs, including but not limited to those deemed necessary by OSHA, EPA and States.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental/Health Science, or closely related degree
  • 4+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing environment required
  • Good working knowledge of PC applications such as Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes
