United States of America - Florida, Orlando Job Summary AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Scientist or Geologist II to join our Remediation team in Florida in our Orlando, Tallahassee, or Jacksonville offices. You will work with a diverse team of technical leaders across a broad range of practice areas delivering remediation consulting services to our key clients. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * The field activities will consist of air, soil vapor, soil, groundwater and sediment sample collection, geological logging and interpretation, and the oversight of investigation and remediation subcontractors including laboratories and excavation and drilling companies * Assist with gathering and analyzing geological and hydrogeological data in both the field and office settings * Task Management Experience * Strong technical background * Preparing complex site conceptual models * Collecting and evaluating environmental data in field and office settings * Preparing investigation reports and drawings * Technical report writing * Investigation cost estimating * Identifying, preparing and demonstrating compliance with relevant permits * Independent field work and leadership of field teams * Learn and develop a keen understanding of hazard recognition * Ability to travel up to 50% to various job sites About AECOM At AECOM , we believe infrastructure creates opportunity for everyone. Minimum Requirements * BA/BS and 2 years of demonstrating remediation consulting experience and or equivalency of demonstrated experience and or education * Valid Driver's license Preferred Qualifications * Managing drilling programs experience * Competency in soil, vapor and groundwater sampling * Experience with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Petroleum Program * Good interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable meeting with clients, colleagues and sub-contractors alike. * Flexible with working hours and locations, frequent travel within 1 - 2 hour drive of home office, and occasionally further. * Willingness and ability to learn and rapidly master new tasks. * Strong research and report writing (including web based research). * Strong calculation skills. * Excellent written and verbal skills. * Strong quality and time management. * Self-starter, develops and delivers work under own initiative. * Solid attention to detail and thorough approach to work.
