Job Scope & Purpose:
Our Cambridge based client is seeking a highly motivated cell biologist to join their growing team. The incumbent will be responsible for independently planning and executing experiments including analysis and interpretation of experimental data in consultations with group leaders and scientists within the group. Primary Job Requirements:
B.S. in biological sciences with a minimum of 5 years or M.S. in biological sciences with a minimum of 3 years of experience in academia or industry.
Strong experience in cell culture including cell lines, primary cells and cell transfection, and ability to perform functional assays in cells. Experience with stem cells is desired but not required.
Direct expertise in analytical techniques such as immunostaining, western blotting, ELISA, and immunoprecipitation.
Direct experience with carrying out in vitro studies and analyzing end points using molecular biology techniques.
Track record of independently carrying out planning and execution of experiments.
Drug discovery experience particularly in gene therapy would be highly desired.
