Position Details

Our Field Sampler/Sample Manager position serves our Certified Environmental Testing Laboratory in Ewing, NJ (Mercer County). The hiring lab is New Jersey Analytical Laboratories LLC ( a division of Specified Testing Labs ( Specified Labs is a Tri State (NJ/NY/CT) network of certified environmental (drinking water, waste water, soil and air) and food testing laboratories.

Responsibilities: 1) Sampling and collection of Environmental Samples (primarily drinking water, waste water and non-potable water) 2) Execution of Field Sampling techniques and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Grab, Monitoring Wells, Low Flow and PCB sampling (following training) 3) Management of Environmental Samples coming into the lab, including completion of Chain of Custody forms (both from direct sampling and client sampling), managing logistics of subcontracting samples to labs both in and outside of our lab network 4) Sample management and tracking in our lab management software

We seek, but do not require, candidates with a career interest in the environmental industry, an academic exposure to/knowledge of basic chemistry/microbiology and strong Customer Service skills/experience.

Work Shift: Mon to Fri, 9am to 5pm

Academic Requirements: Bachelors Degree not required but preferred. ***This role is an excellent opportunity for Environmental Science graduates looking to join a certified environmental testing laboratory, as well as Chemistry, Biology and other science majors with an interest in the Environmental business. Bachelor of Science or Arts or Associates is preferred for this role but is not required****
