Position Brand Description:

The objective of this position is to provide technical support and expertise in the development, implementation, and maintenance of HSE programs and processes. In addition, this position is responsible for ensuring HSE compliance and to be a champion for Operational Excellence including two key MSOE outcomes: Nobody Gets Hurt and Sustainable Use of Environmental Resources. This position is in the HSE department, and is designated as a rotational assignment to increase the candidate's breadth of knowledge of Operational Excellence.

Responsibilities:

Manage for Results/Strategic Planning:
Develop, implement and sustain HSE programs and procedures
Serve as a technical resource on HSE practices for the site
Lead cross-functional teams in the implementation/sustainment of HSE programs, including metric trending for improved site HSE performance
Role may support site operations as an area frontline HSE representative
Assist in facility/equipment design and evaluation to control or eliminate of HSE risks
Support and directly execute key elements of the HSE management system such as event and change management processes, training, assessments/audits, business planning, and assessments and inspections

Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in safety, industrial hygiene, environmental science, or engineering with 0-5 years of relevant work experience. Would consider HS diploma with 5 years or more experience in HSE or pharmaceutical manufacturing

Additional Preferences:
Education in HSE, experience in HSE field, or pharmaceutical manufacturing
Manufacturing experience
Demonstrated ability to evaluate risks and determine creative solutions to support business initiatives
Strong organizational and communication skills
D emonstrated abilities to work well with people and achieve results with others
Strong computer application skills
