Job Description
A Massachusetts-based pharmaceutical company is looking to add an experienced professional to their staff as their new Research Associate - Translational Biology. In this role, the Research Associate - Translational Biology will be responsible for conducting high quality bench research and performing biochemical and cellular assays that will contribute to our drug discovery efforts.

Responsibilities:

The Research Associate - Translational Biology will be responsible for:
  • Performing dilutions and calculations independently
  • Evaluating biological samples and cells by using western blotting and commercially available assays/kits
  • Efficient and technically competent execution of lab work designed to advance early stage projects
  • Accurately interpreting experimental data, performing statistical analysis, formulating conclusions, and communicating data with colleagues
  • Maintenance of accurate and up to date records of experimental data
  • Presentation of data at regular internal meetings
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Drug Discovery experience with a Bachelor's Degree in a related field; or, 6+ months of of Drug Discovery experience with a Master's Degree in a related field
  • Extensive tissue culture experience (treating cells, culturing, banking)
  • Evaluate biological samples and cells by using western blotting and commercially available assays/kits
  • Prior experience conducting high quality science in an industry setting
  • Microsoft Office/Suite proficient Solid analytical and research skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
Desired Skills:
  • Experience in Drug Discovery setting
  • Flow cytometry experience
  • Experience with Molecular Biology tools, such as cloning, RNA/DNA analysis, qPCR, etc.
