Employbridge Search Group has a client in Cibolo, TX that is looking for a Safety, Environmental and Health Manager to joint heir team! This is a brand-new location with lots of room for growth, competitive salary and great benefits!

Job Duties
  • Promote a positive, safe and environmentally compliant culture where all team members understand what is necessary to prevent incidents and protect the environment
  • Lead efforts to ensure compliance with all OSHA management regulations, as well as EHS policies and procedures, all applicable federal, state and local laws
  • Recommend risk mitigation countermeasures to company leaders
  • Functionally develop new and existing safety, environmental and health staff through excellence at training, motivating and guiding staff
  • Clearly understands leading as facilitating the success of team and company
  • Delegates appropriate and challenging assignments based on experience and expertise
  • Conducts or assists with performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
  • Hold Team accountable to meet project plans/schedules and deadlines
  • Establish and implement Occupational Health and Safety management program, as well as a Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) program
  • Ensure compliance with all OSHA and other environmental and safety regulations
  • Establish and impellent EHS policies, procedures, Air and Noise Monitoring Programs and Hazard analysis programs
  • Establish facilitate and remote an EHS training program for staff, contractors or any parties that needing training
  • Build and implement Occupational and Health Clinic
  • Establish an emergency response team
  • Establish an Employee work hardening program utilizing the company gym equipment
  • Conducts postaccident investigation and prepares written reports of finding and recommendations for corrective or preventative measure where indicated and follows up to ensure measure have been implemented
  • Establish and implement and Environmental management system (ISO14001) and a waste management control system
  • Researches and explains county, state, and federal regulations related to environmental quality and ruction; assesses and ensures compliance
  • Negotiates with regulatory agencies regarding necessary mitigation methods and permits conditions
  • Prepares or oversees the preparation of regulatory and other agency project permit applications
  • Acts as a liaison to staff of various State and County departments regarding environmental permitting, laws, and regulations
  • Files or oversees the filing of required EPA, DOT and OSHA reports
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Safety/Environmental Studies, or related field is required
  • Master's degree is a plus
  • 8+ years of professional experience in Safety, Environmental and Health OR an equivalent combination of training, experience and education required
  • Leadership experience is required
  • Thorough understanding of Air, Water and Waste requirements for permitting
  • Thorough understating and ability to draft documents and submitting for Federal, Texas state, county and local permitting requirements
  • Understands National Environmental Policy Act and provisions of the applicable states environmental laws
  • Ability to make independent decisions, prepare narrative reports and act as a liaison between departments (shops) or regulatory agencies
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships and informally negotiate with other departments
  • Seeks and effectively uses feedback on capabilities necessary to perform essential job functions
  • Sets and demonstrates high standards of integrity
  • Supports the mission and vision of the company
